Our name describes who we are and what we are.

• Lighthouse carries with it the concept of what we want to be. A lighthouse shines to guide ships at sea to safe passage and to a safe harbor. We want to shine like a light in a world of darkness. Jesus is the light of the world and we desire to shine like Him. We want to shine to guide lost souls to the only safe harbor, life in Jesus Christ.
• Baptist identifies our beliefs. We hold to the fundamental doctrinal faith of Baptist. We are conservative in our faith and Baptist in our doctrine.
• Church describes us as what we are biblically. We are a group of baptized believers who have joined together in worship, fellowship, love, and in carrying out the great commission by taking the gospel to those without Christ at home and around the world. We have chosen to fellowship together as one body and one family while serving our Lord Jesus Christ.

This website contains a section titled “What We Believe.” It gives details about our beliefs. However, please consider this summary of our basic belief. We believe the Bible to be God’s holy inspired Word, without error and preserved for all generations.  We accept it literally and it is our final authority for our beliefs and practices.

We believe in the one true God. God is eternal and is manifested as one God in three Persons. The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ, God the Son, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, arose, and ascended to heaven. He is coming again for the believers.

We believe in the premillennial, pre-tribulation view of the return of Christ. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith totally apart from works. Therefore, a person must receive Jesus Christ as Savior to be saved or born again. We believe in the eternal security of the believer. We believe in the local church. Christians should live separated lives and be faithful in their church attendance and the practice of their faith.

We all will stand before God in judgment – the believer at the Judgment Seat of Christ and the unbeliever at the Great White Throne Judgment. We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. The only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus.

We are a loving and friendly church open to people of all walks of life. We are all the children of God. Therefore, we reach out to people of all cultures. Our mission is to reach all mankind in all parts of the world and across racial and cultural differences.
